NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER !!!

This incident that I am going to share with you guys certainly left a HUGE impact in my life...one that changed my perception and how I look and judge people...

It was a pretty crazy and hectic day for me today...right after a three hour long lecture I was practically running towards the station hoping that I would be able to catch the 5:03p.M train back home...unfortunately, I was late by a few seconds as I watched the train leave just as I arrived at the platform...the thought of having to wait for half-an-hour for the next train was extremely frustrating...Having no other options but to wait for the next train...I sat and waited...and waited...and waited...tik-tok-tik-tok...it felt like the longest half an hour of my LIFE...

Until...

This guy caught my attention...he was HUGE !!! in his mid 20’s I would say...he was veryyyy tall and very well built and muscular...If he was green in colour one will not be able to tell the difference from him and Hulk...hehehehe :P ok k...that was an exaggeration...but the point is...he was a really huge guy...or at least...definitely bigger than the average Asian men...He walked towards me ( well at that moment it felt like he was charging towards me...and I have to admit...I felt rather intimidated – which is extreamlyyyy rare ) and sat right beside me...

Being the talkative, friendly person that I am...I decided to talk to him since I was bored and alone...but looking at him - he was so serious and had this stern look on his face...as he looked at his phone as if he was going to crush it...I don’t think he even blinked...I changed my mind and decided to keep my mouth shut and mind my own business...hehehe * winks ( which I have to say was the smartest decision I have made to date...you will know exactly why in a bit )

After awhile, the train arrived and we happened to get into the SAME DECK!!! As usual...at that pick hour...hoping to get a place to sit would be just as good as hoping to win a MILLION DOLLARS in lottery...and so, I stood right at the back...now, guess who was standing right beside me...

SURPISE !! SURPRISE !! You got it...that ‘HULK’ dude I met earlier at the platform... sometimes I think God simply has a jolly good time making my life look like a sitcom :S

I felt like I was going through detention....Oh No...Far worse...it was as if I was in an interrogation room with this officer standing right beside me...making sure I behave...haixzzzz...trying to make the best of the journey...I decided to enjoy the view since I happened to be standing right beside the window...the same view which I have been looking at for the past two years :P

Just when I thought things could not possibly get any ‘better’...I heard this rather....ummmm...how shall I put it...Funny voice...more like Unique actually....OOOOOK...I was just trying to be nice...hehehehe...honestly...it was like a quiet chatter...a sharp squeaking voice...it sounded like a MICE if it could talk...I have never heard anyone with such a peculiar voice...and so I turned around in the hope that I would be able to have a good look at this person...

Little did I know...it was the guy who was standing beside me....YES !!! THE ‘HULK’ DUDE !!! My mouth fell and my eyes was as big as two golf balls...and it almost popped out...I could not believe my ears...I was in a complete state of SHOCK !!! and when I came out of that state...I immediately turned 360 degrees...facing the window...I closed my mouth trying my best not to burst out laughing...I even started crying because I could not control myself anymore...my body was shaking as if I was getting electricuted...trust me when I say that nothing can be more torturous then that :D

Luckily, his conversation on his phone did not last too long...I don’t think I would have been to control myself...hehehe :P

Can you imagine what would have happened if I has a conversation with him...How am I supposed to look him in the eyes and talk to him when he is talking (in his case squeaking) ??!! Unless I’m partially deaf... then that would be a different issue...fortunately or unfortunately I’m not...

I don’t mean to be discriminative or insensitive...but when he sounded completely different from the way he looks...I just couldn’t control myself...

And so, I learnt a very veryyyyy valuable lesson today : NEVER EVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER !!! :D

OOOOOPS !!!! I DID IT AGAIN....

Two days ago...I went to Malacca to take a short holiday with my family...It was pretty boring since we did not have much to do ( visiting all those historical buildings were out of the question since I have seen them for like a million times...) and so, we ( me, mum and my brother) decided to head to the mall and do some window shopping...after awhile we got bored of that too...and so we decided to watch a movie...what a brilliant idea ( the easiest way to kill time... :P )

After debating for awhile on what movie to watch...we decided to watch ‘Legion’(its a pretty good movie...of course, I would have enjoyed it better if I had not made a complete fool out of myself during the movie...)

This is what happened......

We bought our tickets...got a box of popcorn (going to a movie can NEVER be complete without it... its like a MUST...hehehe) and we went into the theatre...we got the best seat...the second row from the top and the middle seats...I happened to be sitting beside this Indian man ( in his mid 40’s I would say...that would explain why I did not pay any attention to him :P)

Anyway, since we decided to only get a box of popcorn and share...My brother was sitting in between me and my mum...holding the popcorn...Everything went well until.........

We were half way through the movie...and the movie was getting pretty interesting...there were times when I could not take my eyes off the screen (I was reallyyyy getting into the movie) and so I was eating the popcorn and enjoying the movie...

At one point...my popcorn tasted different (we got the light and sweet but the popcorn that I was eating tasted like caramel) Not giving much thought to it (since I was busy concentrating on the movie) I just took some more...but this time...This guy’s hand was in the box (I HONESTLY thought it was my brother’s hand) and so, feeling rather annoyed cause I could not take the popcorn...I tapped (OK !!! it was more like HIT !! ) his hand and took the popcorn...and that was when it hit me...

I WAS TAKING POPCORN FROM THE WRONG BOX !!!!!!

I just froze when I realised what I had done...not only did I take that guy’s popcorn...I hit his hand !!

You cannot imagine how I felt at that moment...I did not move an inch throughout the movie...I was just hoping and praying that he would not get up and slap me or something for taking his popcorn...

The moment the movie ended, I quickly got up and practically ran out of the theatre...

I was sooooo embarrassed about it...that I was just hoping that I would I would NEVER LIKE IN A MILLION YEARS BUMP INTO THAT GUY !!!!

Lesson learnt : Get my OWN popcorn the next time I go for a movie !!! :P

Sometimes it makes me wonder...’why does these “paranormal” moments ONLY take place in MY LIFE !!!’ hmmm...but then again...its these things ( more like lessons actually...hehehe) that makes my life so interesting...I don’t think I will ever be bored of LIFE !!! :P hmmmmmmm.........

The Mirror Image Of Myself As A Child :P

After having a loooooong day in college....I decided to grab a cup of hot drink before heading back home...and so, feeling rather drained out because of the 5 hours long lecture...I was practically dragging myself to the cafe...just I thought the pain of walking was over ( although it was only a 5 minute walk...at that time I felt like I had done 12 laps or something...hehehe :P ), I noticed that there was a veryyyy long queue at the counter and I decided to turn back...there was NO way I was going to queue up for half an hour just for a drink...but something stopped me and I changed my mind...

As I was queuing up...this young man caught my attention...he was so very very cute...big blue eyes, chubby pinkish cheeks...haixzzzz...if only he was a little older... we would b a PERFECT match ( you will know exactly why soon) :P

Alright...HE WAS 3 YEARS OLD !!!! :D hahahaha...

As I was admiring how cute he looks as he was busy eating his muffin, with chocolate all over his face :) he suddenly turned to my direction...feeling rather excited I waved and winked at him ;) of course expecting the natural respond that any other kid his age would do...just stand there feeling rather stund... :P But you wouldn’t believe what happened...

He ever so cute and innocently waved and WINKED back at me !!! hahahaha :D

I was soooo shocked... because I really did not see that coming or expect that kind of respond from him...hahahaha... :D

And I thought I was being cheeky !!! :P I can only imagine what he would be doing when he gets a little older...hehehe *winks!!

It got me thinking though... if I would did something like that when I was a child...hmmmmm...the possibilities are there though...hahahaha :P

Another unforgettable memory in the train...

Hey guys...I know that it has been awhile since I wrote...but no worries...I’M BACK !!! :D
As you guys would have realised...my blog is mostly about my daily life in my crazy, unpredictable world...so is my next blog :P
This incident took place a few days ago...
It was the first day of college after a two week break for Christmas & New Year...
As usual...I travelled to college with the only mode of transportation that I know of...the KTM !!!
The train was rather crowded that day...and it was terrible because I didn’t have a place to sit...just the thought of having to stand for an hour was torturous...
As I was trying to make the best of the journey by listening to my MP3...this really cute guy came into the same compartment that I was in at the very next station...I thought to myself... ‘God...you really do know how to make my day !!! :D ‘...Somehow...I found this guy to be rather attractive...I couldn’t tell what or why exactly...but there was definitely something about him that made me want to talk to him...
And so, without giving much thought to it...I approached him...and we started talking about all the general stuffs like where we were heading to and what we were doing...
Although the conversation was going on smoothly, I realised that throughout our conversation...he hardly looked at me...he would be looking somewhere else while talking to me...at first I thought he had some problem with his eyes or something...and then I realised...that he just wasn’t concentrating on our conversation...something or someone behind me seemed to have caught his attention...
Feeling rather uneasy about it at first...I turned behind to look around...maybe there was someone he knew or maybe there was this really attractive lady standing somewhere behind me...but every time I turned around...no one really caught my eyes...and so, I ignored his unusual behaviour and continued talking to him...I know...I never learn my lesson...As I was telling my friend about this incident, I realised what an idiot I was...I mean clearly there was something wrong with this guy...and instead of cutting off our conversation ( which I think any normal person would do ) I continued talking to him...God knows why...because I cannot come up with a logical explanation for my actions... :o)
After awhile...I realised that I had enough of it...I mean ‘WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM...WHY ON EARTH IS HE LOOKING SOMEWHERE ELSE WHEN HE IS HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH ME...???’ all these questions were running through my head...And the curiosity to find out ‘why he was behaving so unusually??!!’ was killing me...
And so, I took a step back ( just in case he started going amok or something) and I asked him ( I was a little shaky at that point of time because I didn’t know what he was going to say :S )
‘Is there someone you know behind me??!! If there is...I really would not mind if you want to go over and talk to that person instead...because I notice that you are looking somewhere else throughout our conversation...’
His reaction was very different from what I expected...He actually started blushing...Like for real !!! His ears and cheeks were getting a little pinkish...and he had this really shy smile on his face...this was when I realised that taking a step back from this guy was probably the smartest thing I did all day... :P
After awhile...he very hesitantly told me...
‘Oh...I’m sorry but I could not stop noticing that guy behind you in the blue shirt...Dont you think he is cute??!! ‘ My mouth almost fell...I could not believe what he told me and I just froze ( like literally ) I didn’t know what to do or say...or how I should react to his question...did he expect me to react by saying, ‘oh...hell yeah...hez soooo cute...u should soooo go for it babe !!!’ :P hahahaha...
Anyways...he did not stop there...he then asked me if he should go over and talk to him...
Still in the shock...I just nodded my head and smiled back (you have nooooo idea how difficult that was) he did not waste another minute...he immediately walked over to that guy and started talking to him ( it felt like he didn’t want to waste anymore time talking to my and he dashed off the moment I nodded my head...ishhhhhh...what an insult!!! :S )
Just as I was recovering from my shock...they ( the guy I was talking to and the ‘guy in the blue shirt’) walked towards the door (which was where I happened to be standing) as they were going to get down at the Subang Station...they seemed like they were getting along pretty well :)
And just before the guy that I was talking to got down from the train... ( you wouldn’t believe what he did)
HE SMILED AND SHOWED ME A THUMBS UP !!!!!
That was all it took to send me back to my state of shock...I did not recover until I reached my station :P
Hahahaha...In a nutshell...I got dumped for another guy !!! :P (bet this only happens to one in a million people out there eh...or is it still too small of a ratio :D hehehe)
As insulting and embarrassing as it was...this experience really thought me never to judge a person so soon...and the next time I get a hunch that something is wrong...hopefully I’ll stop talking to that person :P
Sure hope you guys had a good time reading my blog :) and maybe learned a thing or two...hehehe :P
And to the guy in the train...
If you ever read this...I want you to know that...I’m only glad that you got lucky that day...hehehe :P
* Carry laughter with you wherever you go as it is a tranquilizer with no side effects :P

An Unforgettable Incident !!!

For all those of you who have been reading my blog...you would have realised by now that my life is really like a ‘Roller Coaster’ ...I go through things most of you would probably go through...errrr... once in every 10 years maybe ??!! :P or is that still too small of a ratio...hmmm...

Anyway...I got up today dreading the thought of me having to attend a really
boring lecture in the afternoon...I mean...common...who would want to learn about the English Legal System and Constitutions in the afternoon ??!! I know I wouldn’t...gosh...I sure hope my lecturer doesn’t read this...hehehe...bluek :p

And so, I got ready for class and attended the lecture...it wasn’t really that bad actually...but then again...I was just glad the nightmare was over...and so I happily walked towards the station to head back home...little did I know...the real nightmare was just about to take place...

Somehow or rather... I managed to get into the 5 o’clock train...it was soooo crowded....well actually it always is at that hour...with people rushing home after work and all...and so I was just standing when miraculously...one of the ladies sitting down...got down at the next station and I managed to get a place to sit...I was really counting my lucky stars... [well...I guess I did that too soon :( ]

I was seated beside the window....and beside me was this Chinese lady...in her late 30’s I would say...I really wasn’t in a mood to have conversations today...and so I just sat quietly and enjoyed view... [I know...its not my nature to sit quietly...but I’m sure glad I did...you will know why soon...]

As I was enjoying the evening...

All of a sudden...the Chinese lady beside me starts behaving really weirdly...she was soooo anxious...at first she was just moving around...turning here and there...and then she starts messing up her hair and doing all kind of weird things...as uncomfortable as I was with her behaving in such a manner...I just pretended like it wasn’t bothering me...just so that you should know...I was stuck between her and the window...so there wasn’t really anything that I could do...

And then, all of a sudden...she does the most shocking thing...she starts shouting and cursing and the top off her voice in Chinese...this I can tell...because it was soooo obvious from her tone...she was just shouting and saying things...god knows what she was saying...she didn’t seem to give a damn about the fact that everyone on the whole deck was looking at her...

Honestly...I was soooo in disbelief and horrified...I really thought she was possessed or something...that was how she was reacting...REALLY!!! I think I should have performed an exorcism...you know say the Our Father and Bless that poor lady...but unfortunately I was so terrified I just froze like a block of ice...I wasn’t even moving my eyelids...I was even afraid to breath...I could literally hear my heart beat...that was how shaken up I was...

All those that were standing near her seat stepped back...and there I was...nowhere to run...I was stuck in between this possessed women and the window...of all people...I HAD TO BE THE ONE SITTING BESIDE HER !!!! :s

Just as I thought I was going to die of a heart attack...she stops...I mean...like almost instantly...you could see the changes in her...one minute she was screaming her lungs out and acting as if she was possessed and the next minute she was all calm...and she just sat there looking at everyone as if we were aliens or something...and when she turned and looked at me...I had to pretend as if nothing happened although I was shaking inside...I mean common...the last thing I would want to do is to trigger that craziness in her...there is NO WAY I can go through that again !!!

As I was recovering from that traumatic incident...this Chinese lady...ever so innocently...turned to me and asked me...

‘Kita dekat station mana aar ??!!’

I mean...I was soooo shocked that she was talking to me...and I was soooo afraid to answer her...the words were stuck in my throat...I couldn’t get those words out...I feel like a complete idiot now...but at that moment...really...I just went blank...

I was afraid that I might say something...and then she would get possessed AGAIN !!!! NOOOOO WAY !!! I’ve got a week heart you know !!! :P

THANK GOD...this Chinese man seated on the other side told her that we were going to reach Shah Alam...

The minute when she got down the train was when I felt like I got back my life...I have NEVER felt so relieved to be away from someone before...I sure hope I NEVER BUMP INTO THIS LADY EVER AGAIN!!! and I can tell you one thing for sure...even if I were to see this lady getting on the same train with me...I am MOST DEFINATELY going to get down and take the next train...that is the kind of impact she left on me...I’ll never forget her for the rest of my life !!!

I think now you would understand why I’m glad I didn’t have a conversation with her like I usually do with the people I meet in the train !!!! hehehe :P

And...I think I got to get the priest to bless me real soon...too many things like this are happening in my LIFE !!! gosh... :D

**Tim !!! now I know exactly what you meant when you told me about that incident...firsthand experience here...hehehe...bluek :P

Saved By My Indian Roots :P

It was a very lazy Monday afternoon...it was extremely hot and humid that day...not the kinda day one would intend to attend lectures...gosh...Whatever happened to the idea of having some cold lemonade and just chilling indoors ??!! a trip to the movies would be nice too...hehehe...bluek :P ok k...coming back to reality !!! I somehow managed to drag myself into my favourite jeans and a casual T...grabbed my shades and shoes...and I was off to the train station...

The KTM is my regular mode of transportation to college...although its an hour looooong journey...I actually enjoy it...if I don’t bump into a friend along the way...I’d just make a new one...OK!!! I’m not encouraging anyone to do that but its fun talking to random strangers...REALLY!!! I mean by the time I reach my destination...we would know almost EVERYTHING about one another...hehehe :) I’ve actually bumped into a fair number of strangers in this period of one year...

NOTE: my parents NEVER allowed me to use the public transportation till I was 20!!! Well...I guess its cause they knew I would be doing crazy things like talking to strangers...hehehe :p

Anyway...I must have just missed the train because the train station was deserted...no one was in sight...NOT even the KTM staffs...I guess it was because it was lunch time for them...I could literally hear the sound of the wind...n I didn’t like that...it was creepy...to keep my mind off things I took out my earphones and enjoyed the company of my MP3 player... :p

After some time... this young man...in his early 20’s I would say...was walking into the station...gosh...he was all TALL & HANDSOME...he REALLY was!!! I mean...here we were...in a deserted station...and I had the company of this handsome young man...WHAT MORE COULD I ASK FOR??!! Hahaha :D

Without much hesitance...I took off my earphones and asked him where he was heading to...WHAT A COINSIDANCE!!! We were heading to the SAME DESTINATION!!! I thought it was more like DESTINY!!! :p we ended up travelling together that day...and I was soooo excited about the hour looooong journey ahead of us...hahaha

It was a very INTERESTING journey indeed...because it wasn’t long before we were talking about ourselves...our likes and dislikes...hobbies...family etc, etc...Of cause...as we were talking I was actually thinking...gosh...u’r such a good looking young chap... :P the shades were a great cover up...and so it wasn’t too obvious that I was looking at him...hehehe [wink!!]

An hour really would seem like 10 minutes when you are having a good time...and the next thing I realised...we were only 5 minutes away from our destination...haizzz...

Just as I was enjoying our last moments of conversation...

I HAD THE SHOCK OF MY LIFE!!!! LIKE LITERALLY!!! you wouldn’t believe what caught my attention...I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT MYSELF !!! I WAS IN COMPLETE DISBELIEF!!! REALLY!!!

HE WAS PICKING HIS NOSE WITH HIS FINGER!!!! EEEEEEEEWWWWW !!!! YUCKS!!! WHAT A TURN OFF !!!

I mean...my eyes were WIDE OPEN when I saw him do that...once AGAIN !!! my shades were a great cover up :P

The only thing that I wanted to do at that moment was to GET OFF THE TRAIN before my face betrayed me...I have this ability of showing pretty good facial expressions you see...one would know EXACTLY what I’m thinking about by my facial expression... :) and the last thing I wanted him to see was my DISGUSTED LOOK !!!

Gosh...just the thought of it now just makes me feel sick...now I HAVEN’T even told you the WORST PART!!

WE FINALLY REACHED OUR DESTINATION and we got out...I think I was practically running towards the exit... :p so anyway...we reached the gate and I was thinking to myself...ok...we’ll say bye and go our separate ways...but I guess I missed out one part...

Just as we passed the gate...he said BYE and then he held out HIS HAND for a HANDSHAKE!!!

The SAME HAND THAT HE USED TO PICK HIS NOSE!!! EEEEEEWWWW...I PANICKED!!! LIKE BIG TIME!!! I mean...I couldn’t just walk away because it would be soooo rude and at the same time THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS GOING TO SHAKE HIS HAND!!! NO WAY!!!

And then...I just did the only thing that came to my mind...I put my hands together and said bye the INDIAN WAY!!! Hahaha...god bless my ROOTS!!!:P

Before he could say anything...I said bye and left...hahaha...I'm sure he didn't see that comin...I know I didn't :p

As I'm writing about my experience...I’m thinking to myself...WHERE THE HELL DID I GET THAT FROM??!! Hahahahahaha...at times I amaze myself with such brilliant ideas :p
but then again...I have to admit...my Indian roots were of great help that day :D

A LOVING HUSBAND :p

Well its been awhile since I updated this page...guess I gota start writing again...hehehe
Anyway...if have something that I wana share with you guyz...this happened to me not long ago...it was last week to be exact :0)
I was having a class in the afternoon that day...and so I and my best friend were walking to college from the train station...its usually a boring walk but little did I know that it wasn’t going to be like any other day... :p
As we were walking...we passed by this elderly European couple (easily in their 60’s I would say)...I didn’t intend to eavesdrop but I just happen to hear their conversation...they were finding their way to the monorail which happens to be in the same row of my college...
Without much thinking...I just turned behind and asked them if they would like me to show them the way...since the lady was pointing at a completely different direction...to be honest...I have no idea why I actually did that ??!! It was just a strong instinct I guess...hehehe :p
So anyway...the man immediately agreed and we walked together...I have to say...He is a very friendly person...the lady on the other hand was rather quiet...in the short period of time...I found out that they are from the north of England...they are here for a vacation and they have a daughter doing law as well in UK...and...Hmm....I think thats bout it...hehehe...and of course...I told him about myself...It was an interesting conversation... :) [But I forgot to get his name...I wonder how I missed that part out...hehehe :p ] but then again...maybe its cause I’m so used to talking to strangers in the train that I didn’t have problems talking to this guy... (Ok...lets leave that part aside...hehehe)
We finally reached this road that we’ll have to cross...unfortunately the traffic light wasn’t working that day and the inconsiderate drivers only made it difficult for the pedestrians...somehow, the four of us managed to cross the first road...but it was a little more difficult when it came to the second road...
We were actually stuck in the middle of two busy roads for quite some time until my best friend just took her chances and ran to the other side...lucky her...but the three of us were still stuck this side... :s looking at her I decided to cross as well...
This is when I had the shock of my LIFE!!!!
Given that situation...I would expect any guy to be a little more considerate....I mean...hear you are...In a foreign country...with your wife...and the road is crazy...what should the guy do??!! well there is nothing much that can be done...but the least that he could do would be to hold her hand and help her cross the road...thats like the most natural thing to do...little did I know...I was soooo wrong !!!
Instead of holding his wife’s hand this man held MY HAND and crossed the road leaving his poor wife at the other side...hahaha...I didn’t even realise it until I actually reached this side...I was speechless for the first time in MY LIFE...now the 3 of us were this side while his wife was still in the middle of two crazy roads...
This is ANOTHER shocking part...
Knowing that his wife didn’t cross the road...and its already bad that he didn’t help her....he could have gone back and helped her right??!! But NO...this man was just telling his wife to cross the road from this side...hahaha...so much for a GENTLEMAN!!! AND the best part of the whole scenario is...he DIDN’T EVEN REALISE THAT HIS WIFE IF STILL ON THE OTHER SIDE UNTILL I TOLD HIM!!!! :D
Gosh...anyway....FINALLY the lady managed to cross over with the help of her ever so ‘caring’ husband...I knew that this guy was gona be brushed left and right, up and down, in and out by his pissed off wife...hahaha...and so I left the scene ASAP !!! The two of them thanked me and headed to the monorail...he wouldn’t have had a wonderful journey after that for sure...hehehe [wink!!] :P
So anyway...I and my best friend headed to college that day laughing our heads out about the whole incident...
I guess this is what YEARS OF MARRIAGE DOES TO A PERSON :p !!!
